General FyreUK Questions
What type of server is the FyreUK Server? Vanilla? Creative? PVP? Roleplay?
The normal world of the server has the main focus of creativity, this is why we have mobs turned off and everybody is gamemode 1 (Creative). Other worlds may have different focuses such as the Flatlands where we create building designs, redstone contraptions etc.
What texture pack is generally used on the server?
In the Main World we use DokuCraft Light which can be found
here. For the new Creative World we use a customized DokuCraft and for timelapses we customize DokuCraft to fit the theme of the timelapse. For server members, all of our texture packs can be found
here.
What plugins are used for the server?
We don’t disclose the plugins that we use for the server, sorry!
Is a map of the server available for download?
No, we do not distribute any of the worlds the main Minecraft server hosts, but we do release some single builds and projects that can be found on our
Planet Minecraft account.
How do you get some of those awesome, irregular landscapes in the server?
A lot of the different terrains that are sometimes seen in the videos are not always completely natural, mods such as World edit or Voxelsniper are used to get the perfect landscape for certain builds.
Can I have the IP of the server?
No, the server is whitelisted so only players that are on the list can connect to it.
How do I join the FyreUK server?
There are 2 possible ways to join the server. Win a contest that is hosted every few months, or donate to the server. For more information on donations, click

What mod is used to fly and speed around the server?
Most of us on the server use
Zombe’s Mod Pack or the built in fly mechanism that comes with Gamemode 1 (Creative Mode).
Once I donate, how long am I able to play on the server?
You only have to donate once, however if you are banned of the server for any reason E.g breaking a timelapse rule you will be issued a 24 hour ban that you can then appeal for. If you break a more serious rule then you will get a permanent ban.

How do you guys voice chat with each other?
We use a program called
Teamspeak 3, this allows us to talk to each other both over voice and text communication.
Can I connect to the Teamspeak Server?
Sure! When you’ve downloaded and installed Teamspeak just load the program and click Connections, then Connect and type “voice.fyreuk.com” in the Address field and also type in a nickname, (there is no server password). For more information about Teamspeak 3,

How do contests work?
A contest is an event that is hosted over the FyreUK Youtube channel every few months. This contest allows the chance for people to enter the FyreUK server for free, that is however if you are one of the Winners. To become a winner you must abide to the competition rules and create whatever is required for you to win! Whenever a competition is announced the rules for it will be explained in great detail in the video description.
How do I get my Teamspeak rank?
To get the right rank you need to PM someone with the [MOD] rank or someone with the [FOUNDER] (Matt and Phil) rank with a link to your FyreUK forum profile on TeamSpeak. The person you send this to will deal with it when they have time. Please do not harass and pester the person that is dealing with it as they may be busy.
I have donated and need my rank changed on the forums, what shall I do?

What does Matt use to record and edit?

Are the Minecraft Creation videos scripted?
The videos are not scripted at all, most of what is said is purely from the mind and the subject at discussion.
What music is used for the videos on FyreUK?
The intro
music that is in most of the videos is by “

How are the timelapses recorded and co-ordinated?
Timelapses are recorded using the two accounts called “MrTimeLapse” and “MissTimeLapse” on Matt’s Laptop and his Mac. Whilst timelapses are in session certain rights are taken away (e.g. /time day) and people involved are required to adhere to the
Timelapse rules.
What mods are used for filming the timelapses?

I need some help in game, who do I ask?
If you need some help with something specific in-game then ask a member of Administration (Admins and Mods) or Trusted members clearly and kindly and hopefully they can fulfill your request. If nobody is available to help you, please wait patiently until somebody can do in game or contact somebody over Teamspeak.

My first timelapse what do I do?! Where do I go?!
Make sure you’re on Teamspeak, its a rule and if you break it you will be banned for up to 24 hours. Wait patiently at spawn and avoid spamming items/arrows etc. When a mod opens up the timelapse portal jump in and you will be taken to the template walk through. Take a look at the templates and jump into the next portal to get to the timelapse area. When you arrive at the timelapse area, stay low and go where the timelapse leaders direct you.
Can my friend(s) join the server?
We do not allow any friends of anybody on the server, they have to join the server community the same as everybody else, win a contest or donate.
I donated £10 to become a builder, can I still donate another £10 to become a Sponsor?
Sure! If you’re a builder then you can donate any time to get up to sponsor.You can donate via the same way you donated originally, but instead picking the upgrade option.
I originally donated £10 to become a Sponsor, then the system changed, can I still donate an extra £10 to become a Veteran (VIP)?
Sadly you cannot donate an extra £10 to become Veteran (VIP), on the bright side though you have more powers than before for a cheaper price, you guys are part of the lucky few.
Where can I build?
You can build wherever you wish as long as you can’t see any other builds on far render distance and you keep to the rules.
Can I become a Moderator or Trusted Member on the server?
No, the Admins are the only ones who decide who become Moderators or Trusted members, you do not receive those ranks by asking for them.
How do I become a Moderator?
You don’t. Well, you can however it’s a lengthy process of common sense, being active, friendly, helpful and what not. It isn’t something that you’ll achieve if you have only been around for a few weeks or so.
Can you do some world editing/voxelsniping for me?
Quite a lot of the time a member of staff may be busy and unable to help you, this is why we’ve set up a sub-forum in the Member Chat Section where you can request for help. But! Before asking there you must adhere to the world editing rules and application structure (Stickied in that section) otherwise your world editing may never happen!
I’m currently finding another person on the server extremely hard to cope with, what can I do?
In a community that is very large it isn’t uncommon that friction can naturally occur between some people. If you do have a large problem it is advised that you talk to a member of staff (Mod+), so they can advise you on what to do, they could even talk to the person you’re having trouble with so please don’t feel pressured.
Help!? I can’t connect to the server and I’m whitelisted, what gives!?
Well, in order to be completely up to date with the Server Status it is suggested that you connect to our
Teamspeak server. Here, you can ask multiple people if they’re experiencing problems like you, or if it’s a problem on your end I’m sure a member of staff can help if they have the time and if you ask them nicely.
Help!? I don’t have my ingame/forum rank on Teamspeak, what gives!?
In order to get your ingame rank in Teamspeak you need to read the “READ ME TO GET RANK” channel description underneath the Info Board. There, it will explain all the necessary details needed to get your rank over Teamspeak.
I’ve been banned from the server and I don’t know why?!

My in game name colour is grey when it should be blue/yellow, what shall I do?
Start a conversation with Matt over the forums explaining to him that your name in game is grey. Be sure to include your in game name.
YAY new Minecraft update!
Hold your horses! If you wish to play on the FyreUK server you need to make a backup of your Minecraft files as the server will be on the version before the new update. It could take a while before we update due to waiting for the plugins we use to be updated.
New update, is the world going to be reset?!
Don’t panic! The world won’t be reset. We will be keeping the same world.
